研究生委员会

该常设委员会的名称应为乐虎电子研究生委员会.

第一节

The 研究生委员会 is responsible for formulating, 回顾, 传播, 并监督乐虎电子研究生教育政策和程序的执行情况, including but not limited to:

(a) graduate admissions requirements and policies,

(b) graduate completion requirements,

(c) graduate curriculum standards,

(d) graduate instruction and advising standards,

(e) graduate faculty standards and status, and

(f) graduate student appeals.

为此目的, 委员会批准所有乐虎电子新研究生课程的建议或对现有课程的修改. 理事会批准研究生院系地位的更新，并且必须批准非研究生院系教授研究生课程的请求.

第二节

研究生委员会 policies, 包括在研究生目录和其他大学文件中公布的所有政策和程序信息, are subject to review and approval by the College Deans, the Dean of the College of 研究生 and Interdisciplinary Studies, 教务长, 和总统. 它们也可能受到研究生院全体成员的审查和批准.

The 研究生委员会 is composed of a Council chair (and alternate), 2 graduate faculty representatives from each academic college, 由院长任命的研究生与跨学科学院代表1名, 由院长任命的另外三名普通成员，以确保研究生项目的多样性, and 2 (total) graduate students.

No academic department may have more than one representative on grad council.

The Chair of the Council may serve up to two consecutive one-year terms. Faculty representatives may serve up to two consecutive three- year terms. 研究生 student representatives may serve a two-year term. 任期限制的例外情况可由研究生委员会多数成员和研究生与跨学科研究学院院长批准

第一节

The Council will meet at least monthly during the academic year. Special meetings may be called by the Chair or by a majority of the membership.

第二节

The minutes of each council meeting shall be made available to council members, 学院院长, and graduate program directors. 主席应确保会议记录及时张贴在研究生会网页上.

第三节

对于任何会议，有表决权的理事会成员的过半数即构成法定人数.

第四节

The Chair shall set the agenda. Any member of the committee may request the addition of an agenda item. The order of business for 研究生委员会 meetings shall be:

• Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting.

• Committee and other reports.
• Unfinished business.

•休会.

第五节

新修订的罗伯特议事规则的现行版本中所载的规则，在适用且不与本附例或理事会可能通过的任何特别议事规则相抵触的情况下，应为理事会的议会权力.

The Council shall have the Chair form or cause to be formed a Curriculum Committee, an Affiliate Faculty Committee and a Policy Committee. 课程委员会将检讨研究生课程的更改，并向研究生委员会提出建议. 附属学院委员会将审查附属学院地位和研究生教学豁免的申请，并向研究生委员会提供建议. 政策委员会将检讨有关研究生教育的政策和程序，并向研究生委员会提出建议. The members of the Curriculum Committee, 附属学院委员会及政策委员会由研究生会选举产生. Each committee will elect a chair among its members.

此外，主席应根据需要组成或促使组成特别委员会. Each special committee shall have a charge that includes its organization, 责任, the term of existence, and method of meeting and reporting.

Adoption of the bylaws will be by a vote of the full members the graduate faculty.
